| Mill manager Ian Zmitrowicz, helps out
in the blanket room. Here he uses an air-knife to separate
fringe rugs as they come off the roll. Almost all finishing
of consumer products are done here, in the blanket room,
from putting satin on a piece of fabric and making it
a blanket, to putting flocks on fire blankets to be sent
out to Australia's bush fire fighting teams. |

from a sheep's back cleaning it, blending to get the desired
colour, carding the fibre to remove impurities and straightening
the fibre. Then spinning and twisting to yarn, then to
the weaving and beyond. |
